Salads are a good to have side dish, appetiser, or sometimes even as snack. Adding a dressing to the salad only increases the taste value and acceptance of the salad. So I tried this googled recipe and what, I got a compliment from my wife "This makes the salad taste as if it were bought from a restaurant...yummy".
Basic dressing
1 TBSP Vinegar
1/2 TBSP Oil (I used virgin olive oil)
1/2 Lemon; juice of
1 sm Onion; minced (optional - I didnt use this)
2/3 TBSP Ketchup
1.5 TBSP Sugar
1/2 TS Paprika (can also use red chilly powder)
1 TE (scant) salt (as per taste)
Beat all ingredients together with a rotary beater or wire beater. Or you can put it in a jar, cover and shake well. The dressing can be preserved in a refrigerator (not sure of how many days though). I preserved it for 7 days.
